I just got back from a year in Israel and I'm trying to get this blog going again. I love butterflies, owls, glitter and ice cream!
Thanks for checking out my blog!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00726175031088467894noreply@blogger.comBlogger50125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4071959678590771307.post-67383617546483068752012-07-24T18:31:00.003-04:002012-07-24T18:31:59.865-04:00Working on it...<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Short post:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>I'm waiting for my Snapfish pictures to come in the mail, and then I can start my "Big Summer Project"= my scrapbook of the past year. I'm hoping to get a lot of that done while watching the Olympics (can't wait!).</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Hope to be posting more soon!</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<b>Ok...I haven't posted in, well, a year, so I'm really confused, since Blogger has totally changed its look in that time. <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;"><confused face...=""></confused></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>But let's ignore that for now, shall we, and let celebrate the face that I'm BACK!!!!!!</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Whoohoo!</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>For those of you who were unaware, I spent a year abroad studing in Israel, but now I'm home, and I'm going ot try to keep my posting regular.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>I sadly haven't got the chance to make a single card since I got home, with all the unpacking and shopping and cleaning to do, BUT I'm planning on making a SUPER FANTASTIC AWESOME SCRAPBOOK of my year away, since I have nothing better to do this summer anyways (except watch the Olympics, which I'm PSYCHED for!! Gymnastics, anyone?)</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><b>So that's the plan, anyways. I still need to order Snapfish photos before I can start anything, but once I do, I really think I'll get this scrapbook done. I am committed!</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><b>And now for some pictures....</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><b>I didn't want to just put up pictures of me and my friends, since this is a card-making blog, and I don't want to put up pictures of anyone who might not want me to do so, so I've searched through my pictures to try to find my crafty-est pictures and any cards I may have taken pictures of. </b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><b>Enjoy!</b></span></div>

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Let's start off with the most exciting news- my Sister-in-law gave birth to a beautiful baby BOY!!! (yes, I know, my niece and nephew have birthdays a day apart...it's cool!)</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>So here's the quick card I whipped up for my niece- who turned 7! So I've started on the huge task of making a thank you card for every teacher who has taught me in high school. I made a list, and that equals 50 teachers! Whew! I've never made so many cards before. This is what I got done a few nights ago.... She was organizing a bunch of people to chip in for a nice bag for this woman and they're giving her a gift certificate for the bag. So my neighbor asked that the card have a purse-theme or bag-theme. So, of course, I went straight to my subscriptions on YouTube to see if any of them had any cute idea. And I found the CUTEST idea from <a href="http://www.dawnsstampingthoughts.net/">Dawn Griffith</a> on her YouTube channel! The best part is, it's not just a card, it's a gift card holder! Exactly what I needed!</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Check out the video on it <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi-osujg1_o&feature=player_embedded">here</a> and subscribe to her <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/dawn5377">chan</a><a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/dawn5377">nel</a>! <a href="http://www.dawnsstampingthoughts.net/2009/08/dawns-convention-2009-swap-2-video-.html">Here</a> is the blog post on it. All measurements can be found on her blog post or YouTube video.</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>So here's my take on the card:</b></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6PK-5FCs69ymKf0Soq2hxU20CVXcoTY6HeAGYNTyOk15NlcmNqjOSfFZRDZt66uxaZL9XvXhY7OOBUr8c3j8XHa1JrqDXrd1nc8b7J9YSamyvww6jUl56GwmSRykkbZk6W99AwYIH4vB1/s320/cardface+004.jpg" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538108097445584770" /><div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Close-up:</b></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuiilO4uTVVvmYxSynqecCPvpLOeC9JvNxf4z8M8CWbdqPnTnZ2jDCGaPTWChYz14sssvjLyR0FDuYifpy4KLp-4dGQd3XQdcHFduvJkv-4FzfXlzomgqXDjbUJ1cfaW_6-f3ez2N9HiF6/s320/cardface+016.jpg" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538108101053875554" /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>The inside: </b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>I added a little gift-card pocket by using a 4 1/2" by 2 1/2 (I think!) piece of cardstock and scoring it by 1/4" on 3 sides.
